Ceramic temperature measuring rings can be placed almost anywhere in the kiln, inside the furnace, on push plates or conveyor belts.

The working principle of a ceramic temperature measuring ring is to provide the actual cumulative heat of the temperature measuring ring and the fired product based on its linear shrinkage within the working temperature range, and compare it with the conversion table to obtain the test temperature.

When the ceramic temperature measuring ring is heated in the kiln, it shrinks and continues to contract at high temperatures with prolonged insulation time.

Within its temperature range of use, the shrinkage rate is linear, providing a practical measurement method for the heating amount received by PRCT ceramic temperature measuring rings and fired products. The shrinkage (reduction in ring diameter) can be measured using a digital micrometer.

According to the temperature conversion table attached to the packaging (provided with the product), the measured ring diameter can be converted into the ring temperature. For the sake of time and convenience, each temperature gauge is specially designed for that batch of rings. To ensure correct use, please note that the production batch number marked on the temperature measuring ring must be consistent with the temperature conversion table.
